The Controller of
Examinations Wing of the University of Jammu
plays a pivotal role in the administration
of all examinations related work at
under-graduate, post-graduate, doctoral
level and also in professional courses run
under the auspices of the University. All
the 18 Sections, which form the backbone of
the Examinations Wing, work tirelessly to
conduct about 450-500 examinations in a year
besides providing facilities from
registration to the award of degrees for the
benefit of our students and other
stakeholders. To facilitate students, a
number of facilities, like, the conduct of
examinations related information, Roll
Number Slips/Admit cards, location of
Examination Centres, Enrolment Forms,
details of Marks of Students, display of
result and other notifications, etc., are
regularly displayed on the website of the
Controller of Examinations. The Examination
Wing has also uploaded more than 13 lakh
degrees and marks cards of the students
which they shall be able to access and
submit to authorities online in digital form
within or outside the country once the
process of uploading such documents on Digi-Locker
is completed.
The Examination Wing has also started the
process of computerization of all existing
manual processes, which is likely to be
completed very soon. During the Covid-19
pandemic era, the Examination Wing was faced
with many challenges to meet the demands of
different stakeholders. All out efforts have
been made to provide required services to
students, related to the conduct of online
or offline examinations, declaration of
examination results and conduct of
viva-voce, etc., within the specific period
of time. The Examination Wing has also
offered to integrate the results of SWAYAM
courses into the existing format of marks
cards for the benefit of the students.
The Computer Section of the Examination Wing
is working tirelessly to maintain the
website to provide hassle free requisite
facilities to students for their benefit.
Efforts are on to create a single window
system for enquiry and delivery of services.
A
dedicated team of the employees of the
Examinations Wing are doing their best to
recover the time lost during Covid-19
pandemic period to render seamless services
to the students in the post-Covid-19 times.
